Father & Daughter Dance
The Father-Daughter Dance is a tradition in many countries like Czech Republic and France. In the past, this dance came first in the celebration. Father and daughter danced and then the father introduced her to the groom and let them dance, it is the first step in their new life. It was a beautiful way to express the tender relationship and transitions of the bride and the two most important men in her life. Nowadays, the tradition changed, Bride and Groom open the celebration with the « first dance », then the father dance with her daughter. It can be emotional because the father give his daughter as a gift to his step-son. This dance also symbolize that his little girl growing up and starting a new life with a new important man.
