The former Liechtenstein and later Diestrichstein chateau on the rock has been a unique dominant of the Mikulov skyline for centuries.
Why this chateau?
The historical premises and rooms of the beautiful Sala Terrena, with original frescos from the 18th century, are an irresistible invitation to host wedding ceremonies and receptions, banquets and lectures. Perched in the south wing of the chateau, the two-roomed Sala Terrena sits upon a crag. Up to 80 people can be accommodated in a theatre arrangement of the chairs.

The so-called Old Headmaster’s Office, nowadays used as a cloak room, forms part of the Sala Terrena. Sala Terrena also includes a work room and a terrace with stunning views over Austria.
